Mr. Vila has nearly 20 years of broad based experience in the financial and manufacturing industries. Before joining OHorizons Global, Mr. Vila was Executive Director of Investment Banking at UBS, where he structured financings for private and public sector clients and provided advisory services. He worked in transactions across various industries, including financial services, government, real estate, hospitality, energy and healthcare. His financial services experience is complemented by his prior work in Procter & Gamble, where he held several roles in operations, marketing and sales in Latin American markets.
Mr. Vila has experience in structuring and executing capital market transactions, developing new products and evaluating financial strategies. As an investment banker, he focused on debt issuances, investment companies, financial analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and investment tax credits. He contributed to the origination of over $1 billion in structured products and collateralized notes, over $10 billion in municipal transactions and a variety of corporate transactions typically ranging from $10 million to $200 million. He worked with transaction teams to develop and implement strategies, create documentation, drive due diligence, and obtain internal and regulatory approvals.
Mr. Vila advised clients on structuring and financing acquisitions and capital expansion plans, taking advantage of local and federal incentives as well as financing programs. Additionally, he structured, launched and supported open-end and closed-end investment companies with a variety of investment strategies ranging from equities to fixed income.
Prior to his experience in financial services, Mr. Vila spent six years working in various roles in Procter & Gamble, creating and implementing sales strategies across trade channels and driving process improvements and cost reduction strategies across the supply chain.
Mr. Vila earned his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
